Folklife Festival

Senior Jazz and Wind Ensemble are performing at the Folklife Festival on Friday, May 24. Permission form and information available here. Please return signed permission forms ASAP.

Reno Jazz Festival Results

Congratulations to Mr. E. and the bands who competed at the 2013 Reno Jazz Festival!

Senior Jazz Band won first place in the Middle School Band category;
Vocal Jazz I won second place in the Middle School Choir category;
Jazz Combos won first first and second place in the Middle School Combo category.

Attention Incoming 6th Graders!

Have a 5th grader (6th grader 2013-14) who plays an instrument? Please contact Mr. Escobedo ASAP at cuescobedo@seattleschools.org to set up a 15 minute interview, June 17^th to 21^st. The Eckstein Summer Music Program runs from June 24^th to July 12^th, 9:00am to 12:00 noon.

Wind Ensemble - Silverwood Trip

The Wind Ensemble will be going to Couer d'Alene, Idaho from May 31 to June 2 for a band competiton and trip to Silverwood Amusement Park. Final registration forms are now available to download. Please return the form and any remaining payment by April 12.

Band Communications Update

Want to keep up to date on the latest events, notifications and band updates? We have created a new information sharing site on Google plus. Friendsofecksteinband@gmail.com. You can use this even if you are not a Google user. This new site will allow you access to the events calendar, meeting minutes, information sheets, permission slips and more. If there are last minute updates or messages, this is the only way we can get them to you.

Upon joining the group please indicate which band/group your child belongs to and we will add you to that "circle"-- this way you won't have to receive tons of emails that might not pertain to you.

If you are already a Google or Google+ user, click here.

If not, then please email Heather Brammer and say that you'd like to be added to the group and which "circle" your child belongs in, for example "Intermediate Band".

The Yahoo group will be retired soon, details coming next week.
